CARAVAN
Caravan is a recreational and educational program organized for the children during the summer similar to a scout program. They are taught good manners, discipline, and citizenship. They learn to develop their art skills. They play different games and sports under the supervision of many volunteers and helpers. Caravan takes place usually during the summer.
SUMMER DAY PROGRAM
First organized in the summer of 2002 by Danielle Pierre, the summer day program has been a huge success. Children were accepted from 2 to 11 years old. Many of the Youth workers of the Church volunteered to participate and help.
The activities were tailored to each kid individually according to their age and their parents’ preference.
CHILDREN MINISTRIES
Children are given the utmost attention at the New Jerusalem Church of the Nazarene.
Children are important to the denomination as a whole. Our Publishing House in Kansas City has a wide variety of resource materials available to church leaders who would like to specialize in children ministries.
At the New Jerusalem Church, Myrbeth Mathurin is the Youth leader. She works very diligently to make sure that the children are taught the Bible at an early age. Besides, other educational and social programs are organized around the year for our children’s entertainment and advancement.
