SPORTS
One of our main activities is the sports program under the auspices of the United Relief Association, Inc., our 501 c (3 ) community based organization. We participate in basketball tournaments, soccer competitions and other organized championships.
FESTIVAL OF LIFE
Through the Nazarene Youth International (NYI) we participate in the regional festival called Festival Of Life. It is organized yearly to encourage youth develop their talents in poetry, arts, sports, science, choir, biblical knowledge, etc… Our youth have earned several gold medals in the tryouts and the final competitions.
FELLOWSHIP
On a weekly basis, the youth get together for a two-three hour programs. They sing, pray, worship, praise, play, laugh, share their mutual concerns. It is a time of fellowship, one of their happiest moments. This time attracts even the adults in the congregation.
The question and answer sessions are always very hot and exciting. They learn from each other and find solutions to their problems. They address some of the issues that concern them.
We invite any young person to come and join us. You’ll have the fun of your life in a refreshing and safe atmosphere.
OUTDOORS
Our young people organize summer trips. They have gone as close as local park, Prospect Park, and as far as Montreal Canada.
YOUTH MINISTRIES
The Youth of the Church is our life line. Some say the youth is the future of the church.
We say, “Our youth is the church today”. Our youth have known some great leaders in the past, who have worked diligently not only to educate the youth but also to build the kingdom of God.
Among such leaders we list Rolin Solage, who has gone to become a pastor, Rachel Isons, who since moved to Georgia and many more.
